The museum
The museum is home to a Permanent Exhibition featuring more than 300 consoles from across decades of gaming history. This collection showcases their technical characteristics and stories, presented through interactive multimedia experiences with images, videos, and sound. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich heritage of video games, exploring how they have evolved into a global cultural phenomenon.

The Video Games Museum in Heraklion is the first Greek museum to officially join EFGAMP (European Federation of Game Archives, Museums and Preservation Projects), recognizing the cultural value of video games and strengthening the museum’s mission to preserve and showcase their history.
